Clean, healthy and germ free
water for human consumption and industrial application is one of today's
paramount asset worldwide, especially in hot countries located in South East
Asia. Leading scientists and responsible government officials agree
that one of the biggest concerns in the future will be how to supply humanity
with germ-free drinking water. Over one billion people lack access to clean
drinking water and more than 2.9 billion have no sanitation facilities.
Water is our most precious asset. Without water, life would
be impossible.
What‘s more, our quality of life depends directly on water quality.
 Presently,
KTT is investing in Southeast Asian markets in implementing new water treatment
and disinfection tools based on diaphragm-electrolysis
solutions. Zimmermann Verfahrenstechnik AG, a small, specialized Swiss company
developed it further into an industrial process. This new technology allows the
production of two highly active metastable disinfectant solutions: the Anolyte
(by the anode current) and the Catholyte (by the cathode current). Both
substances are produced electrochemically, mainly from water with a very small
amount of special electrolyte. The two solutions, which are rightly called
"electrochemically-activated water", are able to make harmless all known
bacteria, viruses, germs, etc., without allowing the formation of resistances or
causing untoward effects. Consequently, total disinfection is achieved without
side effects and without harmful residues or toxic and corrosive by-products.
In Canada and, increasingly, in Germany, Austria, Brazil and
Switzerland, diaphragm-electrolysis processes are being used successfully for
disinfection of drinking water, farming and dairy operations, industrial cooling
circuits, swimming pools, and the cleaning of foods. The Anolyte disinfectant
solution has a redox voltage of approx. 1200 mV. Consequently, it is up to 300
times more effective than any other type of sterilization means. There is no
difficulty in keeping medical instruments sterile under cold conditions by means
of Anolyte.
 There
are two main systems provided by KTT to sterilize your water. One of the
available systems we call Hydrolyt®. The other one is Sterisol®. Hydrolyt®- and
Sterisol®-System are multi-functional in its application. Hydrolyt®, e.g. can be
used against the accumulation of scale and microbial induced corrosion. A filter
ensures an optimal precipitation of dirt and the ingenious technique generates
so many oxygen-activated radicals that it can be processed to the best drinking
water quality without the usual smell of chlorine. Thanks to the cathodic
precipitation, even heavy metals and other contaminants will be separated and be
precipitated with the scale.
